If you are like me, you are probably always wandering what side to make with dinner! This side dish is a family favorite as well as a favorite at a church potluck. Having a busy schedule I am always looking to find easy fixings and this is one of those quick and easy recipe. I hope you try it and enjoy. If you do enjoy please let me know I would love to hear from you :)
Sautéed Brussels Sprouts with Bacon
- Brussels sprouts (I usually fill up a bag when I am at the market)
- Bacon (or you can get bacon bits if you are strapped for time)
- Olive Oil
- Salt and Pepper (to taste)
To start, I usually cut the Brussels Sprouts in half if they are large. If not, just leave them the way they are to save some time. I fry up some bacon and place the crispy pieces on a paper towel and put to the side for later. Then I grab my pan and toss some olive oil in the pan (just enough to cover the bottom). Once the oil is hot enough (its gently bubbling not smoking) I throw in the Brussels Sprouts. I cook until they are soft about anywhere from 10-20 minutes. DONT forget to add some salt and pepper for flavor!!! After the Brussels Sprouts finishing cooking, crumble the bacon into pieces and toss and stir in with the Brussels Sprouts. VOILA! You are done with an incredibly tasty side dish.
